     Thomas Sayre was born at Bedfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Francis Sayre and Elizabeth Atkins.1 Thomas Sayre was baptized on 20 July 1597 at Bedfordshire, England.1 He married Sarah Wheeler at England. Thomas Sayre died in 1670 or 1671 at US.1
     He His will in NY names 7 children. In 1638 a committee appointed to divide land in Lynn, MA granted 60 acres to Thomas Sayre. In 1639 he came to Long Island and was prominent among the founders of Southampton. He built a home there in 1648, oldest house on Long Island. His original will is preserved in the Surrogates Office in NY Liber 1 folio 63.1 He emigrated; He was the first Sayre to come to America.1 He immigrated before 1635 to Lynn, Massachusetts.2
